UNLEAVENED BREAD RECIPE - CRAZY CRUST PIZZA |
CRAZY CRUST PIZZA
Batter:
1 c. flour
1 t. salt
1 t. Italian seasoning or oregano
1/8 t. pepper
2 eggs
2/3 c. milk
Topping:
1 ½ lb. ground beef or turkey
¼ c. chopped onion
1 can (4ozs) drained mushrooms
1 c. pizza sauce (or 1 c. tomato sauce, 1-2 t. oregano, ¼ t. pepper)
1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
Brown ground beef seasoning to taste, drain well, set aside. Lightly grease and dust with flour or cornmeal 12 or 14 in. pizza pan.
Prepare batter and pour into pan, tilting pan so batter covers bottom.
Arrange topping of meat, onion and well-drained mushrooms over batter.
Bake at 425’ on low rack in oven for 25-30 min. until pizza is deep golden brown.
Remove from oven. Drizzle with pizza sauce and sprinkle with cheese. Return to oven for 10-15 min. longer.
