UNLEAVENED BREAD RECIPE - FLATBREAD


 

    FLATBREAD

 

        2 c. whole-wheat flour

        c. yellow cornmeal

        t. salt

        4 T. butter

        2/3 c. warm water

 

        Mix flour, cornmeal and salt. Cut in butter and mix until crumbly. Stir in warm water and chill.

        Roll chilled dough into balls the size of large marbles. Roll out into paper-thin rounds about 4 in. in diameter.

        Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 375 for 5 min. or until very lightly browned.
