UNLEAVENED BREAD RECIPE - ITALIAN CHEESE STICKS |
ITALIAN CHEESE STICKS
1 c. flour
2 T. Parmesan cheese
½ t. garlic powder
½ t. onion powder
3 T. cold water
¼ t. dried oregano
¼ t. dried rosemary
¼ t. salt
¼ t. dried basil
½ c. butter, cut into small pats
1 c. grated Sharp cheddar cheese
Preheat oven 425 F. Mix flour and spices. Using pastry blender, cut butter into flour mixture until resembles coarse meal.
Add cheddar cheese and blend well. Add water one tablespoon at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Roll portions of dough into ½ wide "snakes" cut 5-6 inches long.
Place cheese sticks ½ inch apart on ungreased sheet. Bake 425F 12- 15 min.
