UNLEAVENED BREAD RECIPE - NO-ROLL PIE CRUST
NO-ROLL PIE CRUST
1 ½ c. all purpose flour
1 t. salt
2 T. sugar
½ c. vegetable oil
2 T. cold milk
Sift the flour, salt and sugar right into an 8 or 9 inch pie plate. Combine oil and milk in measuring cup.
Whip with a fork and pour all at once over flour mixture. Mix with fork until flour is completely dampened.
Press evenly and firmly to line bottom of pan, then press dough up sides and partly cover rim.
Be sure dough is pressed to uniform thickness. To flute, pinch dough lightly with fingers. Do not use a high fluted edge. Serves 8.
For baked shell:
Prick entire surface and bake in preheated oven 425* oven for 12 to 15 min. Cool and fill as desired.
For unbaked shell:
Fill as desired and bake in preheated 400* oven for 15 min, then reduce to 350 degrees
and bake until filling test done, or follow the recipe directions for the filling being used.
