UNLEAVENED BREAD RECIPE - NUTMEG COOKIE LOGS |
NUTMEG COOKIE LOGS
1 c. butter or margarine
2 t. vanilla
2 T. rum
3/4 C. brown sugar
1 egg unbeaten
3 C. sifted flour
1 t. nutmeg
Cream together butter sugar and flavorings. Add egg and mix well. Stir in flour and nutmeg and mix well.
Shape dough into small log shaped cookies about 1/2 inch thick and 3 inches long.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 350 oven 12-15 min or until light brown. Cool and frost
FROSTING:
2 1/2 C. powdered sugar
3 T. butter
1/2 t. vanilla
1 T. rum
2-3 T. cream or milk
Blend other ingredients into butter alternately until smooth. Spread on cookies
