You may choose to listen to the file as it is transmitted over the Internet (streaming) or you may choose to download the file for listening at a later time.
These files are large and will take about 25-30 minutes to download at 56k. but you may start several of them downloading at the same time and then go do something else. Or you may continue to use your computer for other tasks while they download. If you are using a modem, having several files downloading will probably not noticeably affect computer activities that are not related to the Internet, and Internet browsing may not be slowed down much either.
